In case there was any question, I think I'm showing my preference for bikes vs. blogs, and It's been an awesome season for biking, without a doubt. Needless to say, my bike won! I know it's not officially over till Whiteface is skinable from the parking lot, but I figured I'd better get some updates on here since folks are wondering what we've been up to. The PR department has been active lately, with a great article recently in the Adirondack Explorer. The link to it is here. Pick up a hard copy, it's a good read. Otherwise, the State Land Planning for the Saranac Lake and Lake Placid area continues to move along at a glacial pace, but positive developments are on the horizon. We've secured some support from the local municipalities for our local trail proposal, and gained a few allies in the process. It's exciting to see folks start to realize just how much great riding we have to offer, and just what it can grow to become if we keep at it. We are lucky, and we should be thankful for all the great trails we have. I get the feeling that we may be sharing them with a few more folks over the next couple seasons, and that's a good thing... my French may improve in the process, who knows.
Thanks to all who continue to support our efforts as we work away on developing and maintaining our local trails. It's still a ton of fun, and we expect to keep it that way!
